Friday 20th November saw our long anticipated class trip to Danby which culminated in 30 excited children and 8 tired adults returning to school after having spent a very interesting and educational day in one of the most beautiful landscapes around. Please see the photos:
Friday 23rd October saw the end of an 'extremely quick' half-term as well as our annual harvest festival service at church. Please find a selection of photos from the service which saw the Explorers class act out the story of The Little Red Hen to the congregation.
Today we were visited by Flamenco expert Maisie Oldroyd who took the Explorers through some basics of the Spanish national dance before producing traditional costumes for the children to wear whilst performing to each other, Mrs Roche and myself (hiding firmly behind the camera!)
Below, you can see some photograph highlights showing what can be done with just an hour and a couple of maracas!
This week saw the brief departure of the Year 2 children as they flew the nest up to Key Stage 2, whilst myself and the Year 1 children welcomed the Learners for an 'action packed' three days of activities in the Explorers' classroom.
Below you will find a selection of photographs which give an indication as to some of the activities that engaged the children whilst we spent time getting to know one another.
