Isaiah 58:10-11 Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

Tonight we were very privileged to be asked to sing at the Whitby Town carol service at St. Mary's church. This was an opportunity for our children to be part of a something much bigger, no matter what our faith and beliefs Christmas is a time we can all celebrate together. It truly was an evening of the church communities working together. Our children were amazing and did us so proud and were commended by others attending for their singing efforts. Thank you to our fantastic parents for turning out at night and to our children for giving up their lunch times to practise. We had a great night and it was lovely to see so many pupils there, I'm sure however there will be some sleepy children tomorrow. Take a look at our photos below.
1 Corinthians 14:12 “So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.”

Carol Singing in the local community
What a wonderful time a small group of KS2 children have had at Oaklands Care Home this morning. I was so very proud of the children. They took their time to talk to all of the residents and sang a selection of traditional Christmas carols that were very well received. The children enjoyed a very delicious cupcake and drink and were given bags of sweets to take home. Thank you Oaklands for inviting us we had a great time.
This afternoon the Explorers have been carol singing at Whitby Court Care Home. Another very proud moment listening to our Explorers singing and talking to the residents at Whitby Court. It was lovely to see so many happy faces and the residents and staff joining in with our carols. A very big thank you to all the staff and residents the children have had a truly, wonderful time carol singing.
A VERY BIG THANK YOU to Keith at ESK VALLEY COACHES for providing our transport today free of charge. We would not have been able to do this without your help Keith.

Today we had a non-uniform today, with a theme of spots. We also baked and sold buns at the end of the school day. This was to help the charity Children in Need. There were prizes for putting the best effort into making a costume and adopting a positive working attitude within the classroom to our related activities. Well done to everyone for taking part and especially to our winners. We raised a fantastic total of £112.10, beating our total from last year.

Hebrews 13:5-16 Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
