Design Technology Long Term Plan

At Ruswarp Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Primary, we are committed to providing a Design Technology curriculum that fosters purposeful and practical learning experiences for our children.  Our programme is carefully crafted to encourage young minds to engage with real-world problems and innovate solutions. We believe it is essential for children to understand the impact of technology in our lives and to use it as a tool for positive change.

Throughout their journey in Design Technology, children are encouraged to design, create, and evaluate their projects, considering both functionality and aesthetics.  This process not only enhances their technical skills but also develops critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Our aim is to equip your children with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in an increasingly technological world, while instilling in them the values of thoughtful and responsible innovation.
