In school today we are looking at saying the letter names for the sounds eg. the sound a is the letter name ay, b is bee etc.

For maths practise counting forwards and backwards in 1's to 15. Then use the sheet below and practise putting your numbers in the correct place.

For Literacy today, please read a traditional tale with your child and ask them to retell you the story. Please encourage detail and not just a quick overview. Then ask them to write sentences to retell the story. Please emphasise the use of capital letters and full stops. For year 2 please remind them that Proper nouns (names) need capital letters. It is essential this year that we build up larger pieces of text in sustained writing.

For Literacy, please could you access the video found here and work on forming the following letter in cursive (all letters start on the line and are formed in one fluid movement). o and revisit c, a, d.

Using your story map from yesterday, ask your child to write a sentence for each picture, please remind them about capital letters and full stops (spelling at this stage should be phonetically plausible (i.e. how they sound it out), so please don't correct them. 

Again, please send any work back photographed through the Dojo system.

Could you also read a copy of the 3 Little Pigs and then ask them to retell you the story, this can be done with them drawing a story map (see example below) or verbally.
