Welcome to our Class Blog
Keep checking this page to see what we have been up to recently in class. Remember to also check out our school Facebook page for uploads too!
This week has been all about the outdoors. We have spent time building tunnels and towers in Forest Schools, enjoyed an afternoon of football at Eskdale on their new 3g pitch as our Class Dojos winner's prize, practiced our spacing, passing and controlling during hockey and completed a litter pick around the school field as part of our global goals work.
This week, we have enjoyed working on our Rube-Goldberg machines (a machine that is a very complicated way to achieve a simple task!). We have the challenge of including levers, gears and pulley systems within our machines. Here are some photos of the starts we have made.
14.01.2022 - We have had our first full week back at school since the Christmas break and we have been busy working on our new theme of 'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets.'
In R.E, we are looking at special places of worship and what these mean to us and how why people visit them.
As part of our worship, we have explored the meaning of the phrase: 'Give us today our daily bread' and looked at how how both our physical and spiritual needs are provided for each day.
In geography, we have begun to learn about Mount Everest. Reaching a height of 8,849m, it towers above the land below.
As well as this, we have begun our new class book for the half term- Rubies and Runaways and we are now planning our own historical stories based around the towers and turrets of St Bartholomew's church in the village.
Take a look through our photos to see all the different things we have been up to.
