P.E at Ruswarp
Swimming
At Ruswarp, Nursery to Year Six children attend swimming lessons throughout the year where they are taught to:
- swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- use a range of strokes effectively
- perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations
We are required to publish the percentage of pupils within our Year 6 cohort of 2024- 2025 academic year who have met the national curriculum requirement above.
100% of our Year 6 children achieved this level.
Inter-School Competitions
Along with our neighbouring primary schools, we access inter-school competitions and events which are organised through our local sports partnership, based at The Whitby School.
