Swimming
At Ruswarp, our Y3-Y4 children attend swimming lessons throughout the year where they are taught to:
- swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- use a range of strokes effectively
- perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations
This year all children in Year 5 and 6 also attended swimming lessons, as a catch up from the swimming missed during COVID-19.
We are required to publish the percentage of pupils within our Year 6 cohort of 2021-2022 academic year who have met the national curriculum requirement above.
100% of our Year 6 children achieved this level (11 of 11 children).
