Pupil Premium Funding
Schools receive additional funding to raise the attainment gap of disadvantaged children of all abilities and to close the gap between them and their peers. This additional funding is called the Pupil Premium.
What funding is available?
- Schools receive £1455 additional funding for any pupil who has been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years.
- Schools also receive an additional £335 for any children from Services families.
- An additional £2530 is also given to schools for any pupil who has been adopted, or is in local authority care.
How is this funding spent?
Each year, schools must produce a ‘Pupil Premium Strategy’ that outlines how this additional funding will be spent and the impact previous spending has had. The information below provides details of current and previous strategies for expenditure and impact at Ruswarp.
